For this three-level home on Amsterdam’s IJburg, Studio Mees created a colorful and playful interior grounded in a calm, robust base. Exposed concrete ceilings and a wooden parquet floor set the tone, while warm-toned poured floors add softness and depth to the spaces below and above.

The ground floor houses a welcoming living kitchen, the heart of the home. The first floor is designed as a comfortable living room, while the top floor hosts the bedroom, home office, walk-in closet, and bathroom. Together, the layers form a harmonious and characterful whole: playful in colour and detail, yet serene in atmosphere.
